A Learning Tour With Parents

Parents toured through 5 different classrooms ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 5 and the parents saw a variety of learning activities and environments on February 5, 2019. Our purpose in touring with parents was to celebrate and share how the learning story has evolved and been redefined for students at RLE.

Math Stations                         Community Games            Simple Block Coding

"Getting to see the advances in education was fantastic! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the coding the grade 5s are working on . I loved how the 3/4 learning community got to choose what they are learning this term." - parent of RLE

"Hands on learning is such a great way to engage learning and excite the students to learn. Coding, the Osmo learning games, playing cards, dice, and the many other learning tools I saw on the tour certainly intrigued me. I wish my learning experience in elementary school would have been this diverse and exciting." - parent of RLE

"I loved seeing how different types of technology was being used. It was also nice to see all the different ways kids were learning the same thing (variety of math games)." - parent of RLE
